Iranian manufacturers produce a lot of goods that are needed in the global market. In this article, we introduce several top Iranian products that are exported all around the world.

1- Iranian caviar

Sturgeon is one of the best and most valuable fish in the world, whose main habitat is the Caspian Sea, so Iran and the countries around this sea are the main producers and suppliers of natural caviar all around the world. Iran is one of the main producers of caviar and has had a comparative advantage in caviar exports. Japan, Sweden, South Korea, Germany, Oman, the United Kingdom, France, Norway, and Cyprus are the main destinations for Iranian caviar exports. Due to the ecological conditions of the southern shores of the Caspian Sea, as well as the careful management of caviar producers’ standards, Iran’s caviar meets the GMP and HACCP health standards in all stages of processing, transportation, packaging, and storage. That is why Iranian caviar can be introduced as the best caviar in the world and has many customers in the global market.

2- Iranian dates

The agricultural has a special place among Iran’s economic sectors. Iran is the second-largest producer of dates in the world after Egypt with 240,000 hectares of date cultivation and annual production of more than one million tons. After Iran, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the UAE, and Pakistan are the most important producers of dates in the world. In the global ranking of date exports, Iran is the third-largest exporter of dates in the world with more than 400,000 tons of dates export annually.

Statistics show that the United States is the main customer of Iranian carpets by buying $126 million worth of Iranian handmade carpets each year, and of course, this figure has a good growth after the Borjam agreement. After the United States, Germany and Lebanon are in second and third place with $ 57.6 million and $ 30 million, respectively.

4- Iranian Saffron

Saffron is a spice derived from the flower of Crocus sativus, commonly known as the “saffron crocus”. 聽Saffron is a golden spice with a 3,000-year history of medicine and many properties. Saffron has been used for a long time in pharmaceutical and culinary purposes, and its benefits have been proven by scientific research. Iran produces 95% of the world’s saffron and exports its products to 45 countries. With about a quarter of imports of Iranian Saffron, Spain is one of the countries that have the largest share in the foreign trade of Iranian saffron. Spain exports Iranian saffron to 140 countries around the world. In fact, Spain buys saffron from Iran and sells it to other countries as Spanish saffron after packaging. That’s why about 25 percent of Iran’s saffron is exported to Spain.

5- Iranian pistachios

Pistachio is a small tree native to the Middle East and Central Asia and grows in countries such as Iran, Syria, Turkmenistan, and western Afghanistan. Pistachio production in Iran in 2017 was equal to 574,987 tons, which put Iran in the first place in the world. After Iran, the United States is in second place with 272,291 tons and China is in third place with 95,294 tons. Iran and the United States are the two main producers of pistachios in the world. About 70 to 80 percent of the annual pistachio production in the world is produced in these two countries. Iranian pistachio is very desirable and has a very high quality. And that’s why it has so many customers in the global market.

6- Grapes

Grapes are one of the special products of Iranian gardens. Grapes have many properties and are therefore of great interest. In Iran, all kinds of export grapes are produced and sent to different countries every year, including Iraq and other countries in the Persian Gulf. Grapes are harvested in Iran in the summer. Most of the grapes produced are sent abroad, which is currently profitable and well-priced.
